Key information about the church...

What should I expect when I visit the church?
You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. The service will be led by a member of the staff team or congregation and they will explain how that service will proceed. Our morning services will always include singing some songs, listening to a passage of the Bible, and a sermon. There are Bibles in each of the seats for you to follow along if you wish.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served between the services where there is an opportunity to meet new people and ask more questions.
There is also a disabled access toilet with baby changing facility, and an induction loop for those with hearing aids.
What happens to the children at church?
The 11am service has a number of groups and activities to help children enjoy their time and grow in faith:
Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we sing songs together. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their group. You will need to go with your children and register them the first time they attend.
For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the age groups relevant for you under groups.
Is there a dress code?
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.
Will I have to join in?
Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
Can I come back to church after a long break?
People stop coming to church for many reasons, and whatever your reasons were, you will be very welcome at St Mary's should you wish to come along - we will be delighted to see you!
